Clara 2 year check up

This post will be short as i was 30 minutes late for my appt and had no idea. 2 weeks prior ot this appt I found out our beloved pediatrician was leaving. BOO! So myself and some other moms and dads stalked her and found out where she was moving too. We are now patients of her new practice!

So Clara was 36 inches tall (which i think was off a little bit) and about 25.10 lbs? Maybe closer to 26lbs. Shes rather tall for her age and 30% percentile for weight? So her eating habits or lack there of have not been hindering her growth which is GREAT news. Also, since she has hit 2 she is actually be coming a better eater...thank the lord!

Her language development is on the slower side but nothing radical. We are being proactive and have an evaluation next week on the 28th. We will see!

She took her shot like a pro, didn't even CRY once! Before she got her shot, Dr. Newbold reached into the lolipop jar OUT of sight mind you, and started laughing and screaming "pop!!pop!!". So cute.

Annies Babies!

Yay! they came!!!

Ava :: Haircut

before

I believe this is a phase all young girls go through, though I feel as though this is what barbies are for, right? right?!!

If you know Ava and have been following this blog, you poor soul, Avas never had hair. I have been growing her bangs out since she was born and we were getting so close to a normal length bob! SO CLOSE! Until I had an overnight with work. Apparently while I was away, Ava decided that her hair was in her face. She went into the bathroom grabbed a chunk and cut it off. I was finding hair for DAYS. It was not nearly as bad as it could have been, and I have had it evened out since then. BUT now there are bangs. BANGS.

Whats worse is about 5 days later I found more hair. But it was a giant blonde curl. There is only ONE person in this house who has hair like that and she cannot yet wield the scissor and cut. Ava. Ava cut her sisters giant curl off the front of her head. ARGH! I asked her and she said that Calra did it. The next day I asked again and said, you are not in trouble, don't worry. And she admitted to it because she wanted Clara to have hair like her.

We have since discussed that scissors are for paper and hair cutting is for Deb at the salon. We will see.

Clara turns TWO

Clara turned 2 of Feb 3 with my mom. We had many celebrations. We went to my grandmothers in Rockport on Feb 3rd for a lobster dinner with my mom. (lobsters provided by my dad-yum!) Ava tried and and yelled at the top of her lungs, "I LIKE IT!" She then came back for more, looked at me and said, "mom, I don't like this." And proceeded to put it back on the plate. Oh well. As you can guess, Clara didn't try it at all. She was into her marshmallow pop, spinning in grammy greats chair and opening gifts...as a 2 year old SHOULD be!

Play Date with Ruby! Sledding and more!!

Last month we had a play date with our friend Ruby. She came over with her dad and we went sledding for ohhhh and hour or so. Went to Stone hearth Pizza for lunch and came back to the house for dress ups and shows. Lots of FUN! I love the imagination at this age, its so funny and insane. It seems to be chaos in those little brains.

Catching Up: Denver

I think this has been the longest hiatus i have taken YET! So much has happened! We have had play dates, birthdays, doctor visits, airplane rides to see friends and haircuts! I also ahve a few random shots from i have no IDEA what.

We went to Denver to see our good friends Marni, Ron and Tierney. I lost my phone on the way home that had all of my pictures and videos on it. Ill have to see if i can get some off facebook to share. Well, scrub that I can only take screen grabs if my pictures. That's pretty lame.

We went to a Rodeo which Ava LOVED. We did lots of playing and hanging out with TT which was good fun. The girls also did an awesome job traveling with me on the plane and in the airport. I borrowed the Nobles Ergo carrier which was immensely helpful with Clara.
