Memorial Day Weekend

We went up to Gloucester to see Grammy Great, Grammy and Gramps for an informal BBQ. Ava had a blast running around the yard, kicking the balls and just about anything else you could think of. Grammy also took her up to the swings for some fun! Did I mention Ava LOVES her?! By the end of the afternoon she had scratches all over her face and a bloody lip from running smack into the middle of the blueberry bush (she wasn't watching where she was going-thank god cause she might have lost and eyeball!), she got bit by Gramps' dog Pedro and ALMOST got stung by a bee as she reached out to touch it. EEGADS! I guess this is what happens when your 2?!

She also enjoyed trying to ride Gramps plastic canadian geese. Clara hung out and watched everyone eating and chattering away until she eventually drifted off for a cat nap.

WE also saw a family of turkeys on the way home. WE took a detour to drop some stuff off to baby Owen in Manchester.

I cried when i watched this for the first time....

Daisy chains!

Why do we love Robbins Farm park? not only for its awesome slides and other playground features, but the huge amount of grass and dandelions! We made Ava's first dandelion necklace. In doing so we got and audience from a little boy named Devon. The two of them kept running off to get me more dandelions which was very cute, but they kept ripping them up with no stems! Ava's came back to me in fragments. Its amazing that she can be gentle with her sister!!

Mothers day

It was a good day mothers day! The girls got me a Peony plant and dad scrambled up some eggs for breakfast before the big mothers day race in Davis Square. We met up with the Brad, Kari & Wil - Gigg, Natasha and tha boys, AND Scott, Amy and Miss Lilster! Kari and i hung back while Tash and Amy took it to the extreme! Amy took out Tash stroller and ALL! You go girl! I left the pics at home on the camera, will upload tonight. The VFW put on a fabulous show. Lots of yummy food and a 5$ drink all you can drink beer cash bar! The dads liked this!
And maybe the moms too...hehe.

While the girls took a nap, I went out for a drive to Kims in the 2002. Had some delicious java and spied into the surrounding neighbors gardens. How else would you know what plants/flowers to put in your garden?! When did i become this type of person?!

Then the family packed up the car and headed out to the Berry where we wished Nan a wonderful mothers day and left her with some beautiful red tulips that Rich picked up. It was a bit teary when Miss Aves pointed at her picture and said 'Nan'. We then proceeded to Tricias to join the extended family. Ava had enjoyed some delicious cookies that ended partway up her nose. Yum!

Easy Bake Oven in the future??? Not a chance if she continues to eat all the batter! I don't know why this video cracks me up so much, but it does. Her posturing and the glasses....I mean shes HILARIOUS! Not even Julia Child thought of wearing shades while baking and she should of! I love her to bits.
