Thanksgiving

I was too busy to take lots of pictures, but we had Rich family over for the big feast. Lots of family keeping the girls busy and entertained.

Claras Update

Lets see, she had her 9 mo appointment. She was 20.6 lbs/oz & 30 inches tall. That puts her about average to 75% weight and over 95.97 percentile. Whether it means anything or not shes much bigger than Ava was at this age.

Shes been crawling like a mad girl. Shes got 2 speeds, slow and FAST! Shes really into exploring the house and finding people when they are not near. Shes cruising the furniture and her toys. She walks with her walkers and with the help of mom and dads hands. Shes one of the happiest babies Ive ever seen.

She also in the past 6 weeks has gotten 4 teeth! They started with the lower left, next the upper left, then bottom right and finally top right! They are sharp suckers too!

Clara is still having problems with eating finger food. It sets off her gag reflex way too easy....we see lots and lots of spit up. yuck!

Happy Halloween!

Ava out trick or treating!

Waiting patiently for mom to take pics before collecting the goods.

Clara, day after. She went to bed at 5pm on Halloween night.

Tiger bite tiger!

Ava took a picture of me in my mask.....

So I took one of her!

Claras Developments

I keep forgetting to mention that Clara had her first crawl in Bermuda. She is now speed crawling across not only the rugs, but the wood floors. Shes even trying the step into the kitchen. Shes been pulling herself up on everything and cruising across those items for a few weeks.

I cant seem to get her to enjoy finger food yet...or understand that you've got t gum it for awhile. She will occasionally gag and toss up her belly contents on a cheerio or puff. The BASICS! ugga. I tried not together or in this order, peas, homefries, scrambled eggs and pear. ALl very soft and mashed...and all of it made her gag and throw up on me. Except the toast that Ava stole off the cops plate sitting next to us at Charlies. She sucked on that for awhile. Ava also undressed herself down to her underwear during breakfast. Awesome.

Clara continues to laugh, gigle and smile at her sisters crazy stunts. She LOVES her.

Nice Day for a Bike Ride

Ava and i took advantage of a beautiful day last Saturday to ride her bike! Liam and Luke joined us too! We ran the bases on the baseball filed...Liam pitched some mud balls (Tash did not think this was so awesome). Then we all ran around the playground and played on the swings!

Pumpkin Carving!

We had the Carlstroms over for an impromtu pumpkin carve. We had delicious snacks provided by Dave & Cam and fun conversation! The kids wore their costumes and Alex was so kind to share his loot!

Claras Baptism

Clara got baptized a few weeks ago. She was a good sport, only a little crabby due to the fact this was happening smack dab in the middle of her nap. Took the water on the head fine until it went into her eyes. Ava was good too...I think. She was with her cousins mostly and bopping back and forth to where we were sitting. Kim is Claras Godmother and Gigg is her Godfather.

We had everyone back to our house for some food and company. Rich had a friends company cater, Above and Beyond Catering (the food was fantastic!) We got our cake as a rec from a friend at La Cascia's Bakery in Burlington.

Water in the eyes!

Ava on the way home....done.

The Caves in Bermuda

The caves were really cool and worth the trip there and back. I wish I could remember some of the history to write about it. I do remember the first caves we were at were discovered by some boys looking for a ball they lost. I think I would have been WAY to chicken to look for that ball in that dark dark place. YIKES!

Here are some shots.

Bermuda!

We took a family vacation to Bermuda, and I mean FAMILY vacation! According to Aunt Kathy, there were 29 bodies in total, kids and adults! There was so much happening, Aunt Betty had a big birthday....Ava said she was turning 5. WOW. There were wedding anniversary's and other birthdays too- Alan had a big number jump (Ava will have to give me the report on his age)!

We had so much fun Ava has asked me daily to see ALL of her cousins! A large amount of us flew on the plane together. We swam in the pool and the ocean but was most of all, Ava, was really attached to the hot tub. The small pool had a slide and lots of floating rafts to play with, not to mention lots of cousins to play with!

Clara was on her normal schedule. Fell asleep whenever and whereever she needed to, even in the bjorn deep in the caves! She sat poolside and ocean side under umbrellas much of her trip. Just chillin. She even took her first crawling steps poolside! We also set her up in the pool swimmy floating thing. LOVED it esp when all her cousins were playing with her. Ava liked playing with her in the water too. As for swimming Ava finally 'purposefully' went underwater with the help of mommy and daddy. She held her nose and closed her eyes real tight and let us dunk her. WOOHOO!

All in all it was lots of fun and so great to be with so much family.

Anna drawing a giant cake!

Ava carrying a very heavy pail of sand!

Sacked out poolside. Lifes tough.
