Harris & Esthers 50th wedding anniversary

My dads brother Harris had his 50th wedding anniversary with his lovely wife Esther today. It was great to see the Tibbetts side of the family again. Its maybe once a year that we see a handful of them. Ava was wearing her new princess dress that I got her IF i could retire the blue one that was given to us by Anna....or should i say Lynn. ;)

Avas first dentist appt

Ava had her first dentist appt last week. She was a PRO! She was kinda nervous on the way over there. More or less about if the dentist would be a 'boy'. She kept asking me if it was going to be a boy or a girl and I honestly cold not give her a true answer so i said we would wait and see. I asked her why she didn't want to see a boy and she told me that boys arnt gentle. And i said well girlfriend, guess what, if hes not gentle we will get a new dentist. She asked me if we could ask him when we got there if he was gentle. Of course i said yes. She also told me that if she saw a boy doctor she would turn into a boy. Interesting.

We saw a female hygienist and then the dentist came in, George. I asked him if he was gentle because Ava had some concerns. He said that he was absolutely very gentle and Ava could let him know if he was not. She was so compliant I could not beleive it. Though I did love the dentist when I was little. They make the kids wear those shades so they don't stare into the lights! Ava left with a spider man tattoo and a pink plastic ring-which we have lost already.

Sister Cuteness

I love this picture. So funny. This is the day Clara has her 15 month check up. 4 shots! She didn't gain any weight but gained an inch in height, so now shes 32 or 33 inches tall. She start walking 2 months prior so that could be it, but the doc wants to check up on her in 6 weeks just to make sure everything is OK. A few days after that visit Clara wasn't right so I took her back in...double ear infection! GAR! A few days after that.....103.5 temp...another virus on TOP of double ear infection. GAR!!! Poor thing.

One of the best things about Claras 15 month check up was that Ava was waiting outside the office with Amy. When we stepped out of the exam room with the doctor, Ava ran right up to us and gave the doctor a HUGE hug. HUGE! so cute. She got a lolipop for that!

Grandpa Petes

We had an impromptu gathering at my dads last minute a few weeks as Rich was off for the weekend. I packed up the kids and we spent a few hours in Gloucester. We had a BBQ and we went to BOTH playgrounds. Ava brought her bike and we brought Claras push bike. They both especially loved running around my fathers perfectly manicured grass. It was like walking on fluffy Astroturf.

Ava pushing Lamby at the top of the street. The swings that I grew up on.

Clara giggling to herself.

Grammy great.

Pig pile on Grammy!
