Avas FIRST kiss....

Watch out for the Strom kid. Not that anyone would find this remotely strange. Here the 2 of they are on a little play date today. They are like 2 peas on a pod! Ava is a little aggressive and doesn't understand sharing. Meaning, shes steals whatever Liam has in his hands away. And he is so nice about it all. But check this out!!

Whats the Happs!

I know I know, ive been very tardy in updating this thing. its just been....busy...you know? We've done so many new things and seen so many new things! Lets talk about some new things Ava is doing. Shes standing on her tippy toes a lot. Shes nodding her head in a very robotic fashion - up and down...up and down. I was thinking it must have something to do with her pacifier and the click of the loop. But she is doing it sans paci as well. SHes pointing at everything she wants. These 'gestures' and 'grunts' are mainly to touch the lights or just have me say 'yes, that is a light, good job!'. She is also deeply mesmerized by a blue glass ball we have in the window. She loves to watch it spin. There are asymertrical white lines on it that seems to animate as it spins. She LOVES it. SHes still obsessed with the toilet. And she has recently figures out how to open all cabinets and drawers in the kitchen. Don't worry, its not baby proofed yet. ;) I think you all know what i am doing this weekend.

Last weekend we went to Richs sisters house(Lynn). This little girl was so busy playing with her cousins and I think making her new best friend! Their dog Trott! Did she loves him SO! She bit him, hit him....snuggled with him...pulled his ears. She even let him kiss her on the face!! She loved it, giggles and all. I have to say, he was a good sport putting up with it all. It was s cute! Not to mention she was all done up in her patriots gear. I think this is why they won. Must be! I guess she wear it on SB Sunday. We must.

Ava figured out how to do this the other day. Maybe she will potty train like she walked?

"Hike" with Ava

While mom took some time to go for a run with Kim, dad took Ava for a walk in the park in the backpack. She must have been so cozy and comfy that it knocked her right out. This is the little girl that doesn't like to nap, mind you. She does LOOOOVE her daddy. In fact she is preferring her dad over mom right now. She finishing bottles with dad, reaches for dad, crawls all over dad. She is just your average 'daddys little girl'. Starting to get tightly wound around the little finger of his. :)

9 Month Check Up

Today Ava had her 9 month check up. The showcase showdown was a bit late getting going. But, I did include daycare in the game. However, they were unaware of the Jim Dandy at stake! It doesn't matter because Momma knows best. Thats right I guessed her EXACT measurements(excluding the head). They are as follows: Head: 70% percentile, Weight 17.9oz(25th%), Length 28.25 in(90%) Natasha owes me TWO jim dandy's (I was closest to little Luke's weight and height).

All in all she did great and looked great. She wasn't worried about her eating or her weight. She is after all, a super active teeny individual. The worst part of the whole appt was the 2 shots. I had no idea there would be 2 shots!! Hep B and the Flu shot. ewe. She also has to get blood work done before her 1 year appt, which is in 3 MONTHS! HOLY SMOKES! She is approaching one year! WHAAAAA HAPPIN!

Some interesting factoids about Ava. She discovered the knobs on the stove. She also discovered the knobs on the cabinets, and that they HIDE stuff! Shes really into the cabinet in the kitchen as well. But most of all, she discovered the toilet today. I was washing her bottle nipples in the sink in the first floor bathroom(not hot water in kitchen), and i thought where is Ava now. She was right behind me. THERE she is!! Putting her hand in the potty water! EWEWEWE! Thank god it was flushed!

I just her down at 20 after 7, with a dose of motrin and a paci. No bottle. I wonder if she will sleep through the night? Let me rephrase-she didn't want her bottle. I tried to give it to her.
