What is it with commercial characters?!

Yesterday morning I woke up to hear Ava yelling... "NEMO! NEMO! I WANT NEMO!!!". Nemo happens to be a pair of pajamas, but specifically the short sleeve shirt part. yes SHORT SLEEVE. Ava is obsessed with short sleeves and this NEMO pj top. An oldie but goodie from her cousin Anna. Which her cousin Emily ALSO wore. LOVE the had me downs!

NEMO was forgotten when she saw her ELMO helmet. This is also a lovely hand me down from her cousins Max and Anna. The Elmo helmet went on and Nemo was forgotten. Elmo got dressed, came to breakfast and went to school all while on top of Avas head. Rich said that all the kids were in awe of Ava as she walked in sporting the new cap. Not only were they in awe, but Ava KNEW it. She had that overly satisfied look of, "oh ya....you know it....Im cool."

I later found out at pickup it had to be taken away because she wouldn't share. Shocker. But she found Elmo in her bag and he came home, ate dinner got in jammies and read books...all the while a top her head. Well, you know what happened when she went to bed....Elmo had to come all a top her head. As a good mom I knew this was a dangerous situation. Straps = choking hazard. She screamed for a good 20-30 minutes... "I WANT HELMET!!!! I WANT ELMO!!!! ELLLLLMMMOOOO!!!!!" "HEMMMMMMMMMUUUUUUTTTTttttttt". It was unreal. She woke Clara up twice! She finally drifted off to sleep and woke up this morning asking for NEMO again. Elmo was in the closet hiding...so she forgot all about him. :)

Ava LOVES taking photos with our camera. Its an old one so im hoping she busts it so I have a REAL reason to get a new one. Don't tell Rich about my plan, he doesn't read this so he wont know. Here is sampling of her latest photos.

Clara - 4 month check up

As you can guess, shes big. But weight wise average....just REALLY large compared to Ava. In fact 3 lbs heavier at the same visit! WHOA! Clara was 15.13 lbs and 26.25 inches. {Ava was 13.1 lbs and 26 inches.}

She looks great and is doing great! The only thing we need to work on is her flat head which seems to be MORE flat than last visit. This requires a check in with 2 of the doctors they use at the office. One is a Neurologist and the other is a Plastic Surgeon. If they deem her flatness flat enough...she will get one of those nifty helmets to mold her head into a perfect little button. I don't know much about this treatment and how long they have to wear them, but it looks like it might be most of the day. Hopefully they breathe cause Clara is one hot potato.

Clara is now up to 7 oz bottles! Unreal. She seems to be down to 1 bottle in the middle of the night at about 1.15-2.30am - or has been for the last 4 days.....(crossing fingers). Shes a great sleeper and goes to be d at the same time as Ava- 7.30. And we generally have to wake them at the same time 7ish on weekdays and 7.30ish on weekends. I feel SO lucky we have good sleepers. But what I love most of all is how much they really seem to love each other. Its so amazingly awesome!

I bought Ava some real sassy shoes (on sale) yesterday....she is SO FAST in them! I never thought id buy shoes like this..but I think they are the cats meow. In fact we have bought a few pairs of shoes. Check out her BOOTS!
