Easter Sunday 2010

What a glorious day! It was 76 in Harvard, MA where we spent our Easter with Richs family. Ava put her bathing suit on immediately and went for a swim. Clara sat in the water immediately, so her suit went on too. Then all the kids were going in and playing in the sand, riding their bikes and scooters. It was perfect. Lynn and Billy did a great job hosting again! Thank you! Yay!

Earlier in the day my mom came over to give Ava her presents. I was running around packing bags while they all got to spend some quality time together. I think Ava really enjoyed seeing her gram MUCHO!

FIESTA! Avas 3rd

We, i think, successfully had at least 12 toddlers over for Avas birthday along with parents. The day was amazing, lucky us, and the company was great. Ava saw all of her friends she hadn't seen since she left school and we got to talk more in depth to parents. The kids had sombreros, necklaces, and mini maracas. We served frozen trader Joes chicken & beef tacos, as well as a bean roll taco thing. Amy and the girls made cupcakes for us to serve. They were beautiful! So many bright festive colors with sprinkles! I did forgot anything remotely healthy, which Amy tried to help with. She cut up some apples and put some applesauce on the table. I may have been too busy making sure the parents would have enough beer and sangria. hehe! Oh well now I know.

We even had a pinyata which of course was great fun to watch the kiddos try and bust it open....eventually Amy did it for us. I had an awesome activity that was sort of well....ignored and forgotten about. Make your own Serepas! ohhh wellllll.......

Clara and her music

Miss C LOVES music of all kinds, but I kid you not I think she prefers classical & piano types.

The Rhino song.

A 7 yr old girl playing piano.

Some video of Clara walking

...and her ever present voice....I guess she has been walking for 4ish weeks now? Roughly 13ish months she started going at it? a SMIDGEN later than Miss Ava....but now shes catching up real fast and doing naughty things like standing on the rocking chair shaking it and laughing hysterically. Also trying to stand and walk across the tub during tubby time. Even though we have rubber mats, its still not safe!

Avas 3rd Birthday

When we had Avas official birthday we let her open her presents in the morning and had cake in the evening. She was very excited! She got a bunch of wicking workout gear just like mom and dad (pants and shorts will need to be safety pinned to a smaller size!) Santa got her the green party shoes he forgot at Christmas. And she got Magna tiles which she LOVES! very cool.

Josh and Amanda came over to make Sangria for her big Fiesta party with her school friends. They helped sing and had cake and let Miss Ava help make the Sangria! Even though Ava knows that she needs to be 21 prior to sampling. She had a great day and we are so happy that she was brought into the world and is part of our lives!

Josh egging Ava on to just have a taste!

Ava actually slightly burnt her lip on this one....lil too close.

And helping Josh stir the Sangria. Very serious stuff.

Painting is fun & messy!

I came home early one day and Amy had set up the easel for the girls to paint. There was a moment of joyous painting together...until the space got tight and people would not share paint and or brushes...shocker.

Moms bday too!

So it just so happens that Rich, myself and Ava are all within 5 days of each others birthdays. Ava was the official candle blower outer....so you can image what this means. Her birthday is FOREVER! We spent the morning with my grammy, Avas grammy great. The green cake is the now infamous princess cake the miss Amanda has gotten for me for the PAST 3 years. Its FABULOUS. Thanks Miss A!

GG reading to Ava after some frozen box cake. mmmmmm....

Ava...well...being Ava.
