Picnic shots

Most recently Ava likes to have picnics on the floor in the family room. We have crackers & cheese, grapes and apples. Its quite lovely. Ava will even make tea!

Scared Face!

Its blurry, but I love it.

Out Bikin'

Ava is obsessed with her bike. She wants to ride it all the time. In the rain, in the dark, when she wakes up...Im sure she even dreams about her bike!! So on a beautiful afternoon we met the Stroms at the park and let her loose. She rode around in circles over and over again, saying, "Look at me mommy! Look at me Daddy! Look at me Clara!" Its amazing to see her ride a bike...and shes fast too!! I just sometimes don't give her credit for being able to do the things she does. It shouldn't be weird that she can ride a bike perfectly fine without assistance at this age....or want to go for a run or sit on the erg, right? Her running technique is pretty good. If you ask her to show you how she runs and especially ask her about pumping her arms, shes happy to show you ask you to watch her. She might even ask you to chase her!

Clara sat in her car and watched the kids while Luke played basketball!

Too Cool.

Can this kid ever stop smiling?! I hope not.

Not the best shot, but I love Clara sitting there next to her daddy. So cute.

Luke taking a shot!

Clara checking out whats under the hood.

The future of USRowing

Unreal.
Ava walked herself down to the basement and got on the erg. That erg has been used once since last winter maybe? Rich went down and said, "What are you doing?" Ava responds, "Rowing." DUH. Not only does she help herself to the erg, she is constantly asking to go on runs, and wants her own running gear. THough she did insist on runing in those sparkly red shoes. Whether this is mom and dads influence on her or her own being.....i have no idea, but she has more coordination and rows better on that erg than people in see in the gym! Are all super early walkers like this?!

What big sisters are for!!

Why I waited so long to let Ava do this, I have no idea. Now Clara can get fed and I can do dishes at the same time! Amazing!

This video is even more amazing. Shes a real character, eve while going potty. For the record, I have NEVER EVER hit my child.

Clara & Ava

Unfortunately there is something on the lens....a gooey fingerprint I'm sure.

Claras Photoshoot

So I decided to dress up my daughter and take pictures. A small harmless tutu that also fits Ava. They are already sharing clothing, as Ava has a whopping 6 lbs or so on Clara. She LOVED it! Shes hilarious....absolutely hilarious.

Ring Visit in Salem

We went to the farmers market with the Rings the other day and got a balloon from the doggie cookie lady thanks to Linda. Ava and Max had a grand old time....UNTIL...the ran into each other tangling their balloons and taking off in opposite directions. Max's popped and Avas flew off into the sky. She was NOT happy.

On our way home there was some live guitar playing across from a bar. Ava stopped and started dancing! It was so awesome. I love her.

Claras 6 mo check up

Technically shes 7 months. But her stats are as follows: 18lbs 14oz and 28.5 inches tall. The stats I found are as follows: At 7 months: your child is 19 pounds, and that is 78.7 percentile for weight. Your child is 28.5 inches, and that is 96.3 percentile for height.

The doc says shes doing great! Clara has been able to sit up for about 4 weeks. Shes been eating solid foods for about 6 and BOY does she loves them. The helmet has been on for 6 weeks. We see the doc next week to see if we can get it taken off for good!! I also have to take her in for an adjustment, it seems a bit too tight recently.

One thing that doc said is that we need to wean her off the night time feeding. Which we all know, but she basically said it needs to happen soon or she'll really start relying on it. Basically ferberize her...let her cry it out. Im ready for it. In the past 4 days she has completely slept through the night twice. I wonder if her helmet has something to do with being so uncomfortable....hmm.

She took 3 shots today, 2 immunizations and a flu shot. She cried maybe 2 seconds. unreal. TOUGH AS NAILS! :)
